The Course
This BSc programme in Engineering Business Management offers a broad-based approach to engineering and management, provides the students with an educational profile that combines in-depth technical competence with a solid knowledge in business administration and management. Core content of the course consists of business, management, engineering and technology. Specialist options include operations management, quality management, environmental engineering, and
logistics management. Students learn how products are engineered, manufactured and marketed; how new technology is implemented and applied; and how businesses and their human factors are managed or even financially controlled.
Business and management topics make extensive use of case studies and project work; and a range of assessment methods is employed.

Content and Structure
During their studies students are required to take up to 210 credits, each semester totalling 30 credits.
There are six core modules in each of the first three years of the programme.
The core modules in the first year are taken mainly from the fields of technical science, natural science and human sciences. The technical and natural science modules introduce the fundamental technical and mathematical techniques within the context in which they can be used.
Second year modules introduce the field of business management. The business modules begin by explaining the economic and industrial environment in which engineering companies must operate, then introduce the tools and techniques needed to manage an engineering business successfully.
During the third year, the students commence their specialisation. The students are offered four options: operations
management, quality management, environmental engineering, and logistics management. Option modules or electives are also offered to the students.
In the final semester students are required to accomplish their final degree projects and write their theses.
Preparatory Course
The preparatory course is designed to help students develop basic skills necessary to successfully pursue engineering and business studies at our college in English.
The program lasts two semesters (1 academic year) and offers intensive instruction in intercultural competencies and communications, languages /essential English, professional English and Hungarian/ mathematics and economics.
Core Modules: Essential English, Professional English /Basics of Business English/, Hungarian Language, Hungarian Communications, Intercultural Competencies, Mathematics, Economics, Physics and Chemistry.
Examination Scheme
Exams are given at the end of the second semester. Students who achieve good results at the end of the Preparatory Course can automatically begin their first semester engineering studies at the College of Dunaújváros.

Project Management, Introduction to Logistics Management.
Year Three
Core Modules: Business Law, Financial Accounting, Business to Business Marketing, Human Resource Management, Operations and Quality Management, Strategic Management, Product Management and Value Engineering.
Specialisation: engineering and managerial modules.
Engineering Field Practice, Engineering Project.
Option modules/electives.
Year Four (only one semester)
Core Modules: Introduction to the Social Sciences, Business Negotiation in English/German.
Specialisation option modules/electives.
Thesis Project.
